Spotlight Sunday

Hello FCCB Friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday so far!

Today we are spotlighting Michelle from Mum of Two Blog, also known as Purple Monkey Moments.

Here is Michelle's Back to School creation she entered at FCCB a few weeks ago. Michelle was one of our Wednesday winners. She created this fun crayon wreath with some cute little Cricut school-themed images!

Let's get to know Michelle better, before we take a peek at some of her delightful creations!

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?
I started scrapbooking 9 years ago when my son was a baby. A friend invited me to a Creative Memories party, and fell in love! I became passionate about preserving our family history for my kids. They love all our scrapbooks, and look at them every day.

I started stamping about 6 years ago, and these days, do more cardmaking and stamping than I do scrapbooking. As a consequence, I am almost 5 years behind in scrapbooking... which is a little bit daunting!
I got my first Cricut about 5 years ago. I then got an Expression and my Gypsy Girl - I use her to create all my projects, and I love her :)

2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)?

These days I am enjoying making gifts with my Cricut. They range from card sets, to menu boards, etched glass to Vinyl wall art. I don't really have on favorite project - yes, I know I cheated answering that :)
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
I adore my Peachy Keen faces. I think they make everything cute, and I love cute! I also love paper, all paper - cardstock, sparkly stuff, vellum, patterned paper - I am a paper addict!
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
Create a Critter is my favorite cartridge by far! Although there are very few I don't love ;)
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
I am a busy mum of a little girl and boy. I spend most of my free time with my family. We love to go to our cottage, have movie nights and play. I am a full time nurse in Nephrology, Transplant and Dialysis - which helps to pay for all my crafty things... I love to read, though I don't have much time for that these days. My favorite (non-crafty) thing to do, is just hang out with my husband and kids.
I want to wish all my fellow Canadians a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are spending time with your loved ones, enjoying a wonderful meal, and being grateful for your blessings. I know we are!

Thanks so much Michelle for sharing with us! We love getting to know our FCCB friends better!

Here are some of Michelle's creations from her blog.

In the spirit of Halloween being a few weeks away, I love this fun shaped spooky card.
Those little ghost faces are too cute to spook!

This little fish is so cute and the sentiment is just adorable.

I smiled when I saw this adorable image! The sweet girl riding her bicycle with her cute dress, Mary Jane shoes, and her basket full of flowers is so sweet!

Make sure to stop by Michelle's blog, Mum of Two Blog, to see these and all of her fantabulous creations!

And, tomorrow, Michelle will be our Guest Designer on FCCB, so make sure to stop back by to see her project for tomorrow's Challenge Me Monday!
