Spotlight Sunday

Hello and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I hope everyone is feeling lucky and maybe even having some corned beef and cabbage this evening for dinner!  No matter what, you will be lucky that you popped in today to meet our amazing paper crafter, Paula Bee from Craft with Bee!  This lovely and amazing crafter resides in the "Land of a Thousand Lakes" (Minnesota) with her hubby and two pooches named Ash and Crash! This crafty "Bee" has a bit of a home court advantage when it comes to what inspires her and keep her crafting game so fresh and new . . . she works at Joann Fabrics!  Here is a perfect example of having her game on with her recent Top 5!

Since today is St. Patrick's Day, we can't have a Spotlight Sunday without showcasing some of her lucky projects!

Paula Bee has some pretty amazing cards in her stash that are just wonderful inspirations to glean from!

Now let's meet her!

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?I started scrapbooking about 10 years ago, creating albums for trips I had been on and things I had done.  I then got my first Cricut about 7 or 8 years ago and I have expanded on what types of crafts I create.   2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)? I guess if you go by what  I create the most it would be cards.  I really do enjoy making cards, since they are usually pretty quick to create, and there are so many themes with which to work.  However, I love just being creative and seeing what I can come up with on any type of project.  I have really been enjoying making wall decor/name signs for friends and family that have had babies recently.  I also have been having fun making onesies for them as well.

3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects? I use paper the most, obviously on cards and layouts, but I put it on pretty much any project I do as well (except onesies) and I would even call myself a paper addict.  I absolutely LOVE paper...all the different designs, colors, textures.  I have way more paper than I will probably ever use, and I will more than likely continue to get more.   Aside from paper I use a lot glitter or glitter glue and flocking.  I really love adding texture and dimension to my cards and projects.

4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge? Hmmm....that is a hard one to decide, since there are so many good ones.  I really love the cute images on Campin' Critters and Simply Charmed, or the beautiful font and images on Art Nouveau.  Although, if you went purely by what I use most...that would good old George and Basic Shapes.  It is one of my go-to cartridges when I need just a quick shape for something.

5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting. My spare time is usually spent crafting, heck even when I am at work I am surrounded by crafts and crafty people.  I work for JoAnn Fabric and Crafts.  I love watching movies and TV in my spare time...or during my craft time.  I have a TV in my room and will find some movie or TV show to play in the background while I create, gotta love Netflix!  Also, during the summer my husband and I are avid campers and kayakers.  I love the travel, but don't get to do as much of it as I would like, however I have a big trip planned to Ireland and Scotland for next year with my husband and some friends and should be a lot of fun.

The first day of Spring is here this upcoming week, so why not be inspired by some of these amazing "spring themed" projects!

While we are on the theme of Spring, check out some of her cute onesies! These are great ideas for those babies that may be coming into bloom along with the spring flowers!

It has been a blast getting to know Paula Bee from Craft with Bee!  She has masted not only being incredibly creative, but being able to be so diverse in her creations in a way that makes you just want to see more! Be sure to head over and give Craft with Bee some blog love and be prepared to be inspired!
I will leave you with this last clever coloring book she made! You must go check this one out to see each page!

Until Next Week!
