Spotlight Sunday!

Happy Sunday All!
It is Arin here and do I have a fun crafter to spotlight today!  Amy, a mother of two, from The Stamping Tree is not only a fantabulous paper crafter, but by trade is a perfusionist, which means she operates the heart-lung machine in open heart surgery!  When she is not saving lives, volunteering at her church or just being super wife/mother, she can be found making cute T-shirts for her kiddos and enjoying crafting which landed her a spot on FCCB's Top 5 with this adorable card!

Amy really has a knack at making cards for every occasion, here are a few I found that just scream inspiration!

Now let's meet Amy!

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?
I started scrapbooking after my son was born.  I really had no idea what I was doing, but a friend of mine was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and she had a workshop.  In June 2001 I signed up to be a demonstrator and was one until 2008.

2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)?
My first love is scrapbooking, but I haven't been doing it much lately.  I tend to obsess over my layouts, so it takes me forever!  Cards are a very quick and easy, instant gratification sort of project, so I do a lot of those.  I also love doing home decor projects.

3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
For me, the best thing you can use on a project is high-quality cardstock.  I am addicted to SU, but I also use Papertrey Ink as well.  As for embellies, almost anything goes, but I usually find myself turning to ribbon, buttons, and brads.  I also LOVE embossing folders--they really add a lot to a project, I think.

4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
Boy, that is a VERY tough question!  I love them all, but I'd have to say Birthday Bash is one of my favorites.  There are a lot of cute images.  For holidays, I LOVE Winter Frolic and Happy Hauntings.

5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
Spare time?  What's that?  LOL, I'm sure most of us can relate to that sentiment.  I am a working wife and mother, so paper crafting IS what I do in my spare time.  I also enjoy reading, camping and hiking, and I am very active in our church.  Several times a year I make cards for our shut-in members.  They have to be large so our whole congregation can sign them.

Here are some Father's Day inspirations that were rounded up from her blog.

Amy from The Stamping Tree is just a joy to get to know and her creations are just top notch.  You can tell she has been dedicated to her "craft" for over a decade.  Her talent and creative ideas are just a treat to see.  Head over and say "Hi", you will not want to miss following her!   Before I sign off, I want to leave you with one of the many cute and creative T-shits she made for her kiddos.  I just love how she did the layering and the design is just too cute!

Until Next Week!
