Quick Tip Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!  I have been using and seeing so many stencils for backgrounds.  They really seem to be a hot item at the moment!  You can use your Cricut to cut some fabulous stencils!  I use red Overhead Projection Transparency Film to make my stencil and it works beautifully. Of course you can use clear but I found these red ones in the trash can so of course I grabbed them!  Here is a picture of two of the stencil I cut using Paper Lace and Paper Lace 2.  You can use almost any cartridge to make a stencil just by repeating a cut! Hope you have fun with this I am sure enjoying making stencils and designing backgrounds!

This is the card I made using the stencil on the right.
This is my last Tuesday Tip so I hope this one was a good one to end with!

Spotlight Sunday

Hello!  This Spotlight Sunday marks the end of Marilyn's week as Guest Designer here at FCCB.  The DT would like to thank Marilyn again for being a guest designer!!  Before we say our final goodbye, Marilyn has a few parting words and one more project to share.

Hi, this is Marilyn Caro from Who ;Dat Scrapper and I just want to say thank you to Heather with http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com for inviting me to be a guest designer. I truly enjoyed being part of the team and sharing my projects with everyone. When I am not scrapbooking you can find me doing my daily routine(cleaning), doing part time work for my husband's business, sitting at my computer catching up with the 95+ blogs I follow or watching crafting you tube videos.
I hope everyone enjoyed seeing my projects at FCCB. If you would like to see more of my projects, please visit my blog at http://whodatscrapper.blogspot.com Before I leave, I would like to show one more card that I made for my grandson. I use the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge for the boy scout and the rest are from Mambi Sticks stickers from Hobby Lobby. I mounted the stickers on cardstock and cut around them to give them more stability.

Be sure to stop by next Sunday to meet our next Guest Designer!!

Thursday Tutorial. Creating a Minnie Mouse large centerpiece

Hello Friends!

Liz here today to share with you a video I found on how to create a Jumbo size Disney Center Piece. Jill from Cricflix shares a few tips on how to create an over sized cut. As most of us know, most Disney cuts work best on large scale and when black is used as shadow.

I think this one covers the basics on the Disney cuts, I hope you find this helpful

Happy crafting!

Liz

Quick Tip Tuesday

Good Morning!  I don't know about you but my memory isn't what it used to be! So when it is time to change the blade on my Cricut I use a Post It Note and write the date on the note and stick it in my drawer with my supply of blades.  That way I can see how long the blades are lasting.  I find when I am cutting glitter card stock the blades go bad much quicker.  The glitter seems to act like sandpaper!
Hope this tip helps! Happy Crafting!
