Scrappin' Saturday - Celebrate With a Bang!

Happy Saturday everyone. Who is getting ready for their 4th of July celebrations? I know at my home 4th of July means family time and FIREWORKS! Did you know how easy it is to celebrate with a bang using your Cricut? Check out all these fun fireworks cuts.

These cartridges not only have fireworks, but great cuts for all things Independence Day

Cricut has other firework cuts out there as well.

There is no telling what you will find when searching for Cricut cuts and no telling what cartridge you might find just what you need. That is why we have Scrappin' Saturday to help you think about where those cuts may be. Here is one last Firework cut I found and love from A Child's Year.

FCCB #216: Purple, Yellow & Grey Color Challenge

Good morning everyone!

We hope you are enjoying our purple, yellow and grey color challenge this week!  Here are a few more cartridges I found for your inspiration!

First I found this adorable skunk card made by Lisa at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  She used the Birthday Bash cartridge on this.

Next I found this gorgeous flower card over at Carson's Creations.  She used the Creative Cards cartridge to make this.

Lastly I found this elegant card made by Melanie at Courtney Lane Designs.  She used the Botanicals cartridge to put this together.

Obviously you can use any cartridge to pair with your color combination.  Several of the projects out there on the web feature flowers in this color variation, so I decided to highlight a couple of our cartridges that contain flowers!

Quick Tip Tuesday

Welcome to Quick Tip Tuesday! Here is a tip I found from Psycho Moms Scrapbooks!

Cutting Photos with your Cricut

Do you have photos that offer something to your layouts, but not necessarially a center stage photo? Like perhaps the water from a swimming pool, or photo of the sand on a beach, a group of flowers. Use these photos for cool titles on your scrapbook pages.
Use a fairly bold or wide font for best results (Base Camp is my favorite). Settings should be: blade pressure to 5, Speed to 2, Pressure dial to 6. Simple one word titles are the best for this project. Line your photo up with your cutting mat, type the word, and press cut. Instead of your design being cut onto paper, it will now be cut from your photographs. Although the software is not necessary, it does make it easier when trying to line up your word with the subject in the photo.
Here are some samples of what I mean. Remember that if it is a digital photo it isn't your only copy, so PLAY.

Scrappin' Saturday - Summer Titles

Happy Saturday everyone. Today is officially the first day of SUMMER!!! That means that summer themed projects are going to be coming up very soon (if they have not already started).

Today I want to share a few of the great "summer" title cuts that Cricut offers. Maybe you have these carts and have not thought of the titles on them - or maybe you recently purchased an Explore and if you do not have one of these you could purchase just the image you want. Prices for individual images start at just 99 cents in Design Space.

Looking for some simple summer titles? Check out these images!

For a more detailed title...

Or maybe you want to talk about Summer Vacation...

Finally here are some great sun based titles.

Many of the carts listed have additional summer themed images and titles to use in your projects. I hope your summer gets off to a great start with great summer projects.

Join us next week for Scrappin' Saturday - Celebrate with a Bang!!

Remember there is still time to join in this week's sketch challenge!!
